Tiny Tapestry / Day 35, framed woven artwork
Tiny Tapestry / Day 35, framed woven artwork
Slow down. Stop to notice the light, the shadows, the sky, the flowers. I realized that my (not quite) daily tiny tapestry weaving practice helps me to slow down and focus on what’s right in front of me at the loom. It’s like a reset for my brain. Looking for details that catch your eye while you’re out on a walk is too.
Each tiny tapestry is a short meditation on woven pattern, material texture and color.
This piece was woven on my simple frame loom using cotton/linen blend, rayon chenille and metallic yarns.
Each of my woven artworks is one of a kind, I can’t make the same thing twice!
Pieces are signed and dated on the backside of the paper mounting.
Details:
-Aprx woven dimensions are 2” x 2.5”
-Framed dimensions are 3”x4”
