Neighborhood was handwoven on my simple frame loom using cotton, wool, and metallic yarns.

I wove one house, and then another stacked on top of It. “Neighbors!" I thought. So I wove a small collection of houses.

I like the simple shape of a house and have woven it many times. A woven house feels a little folksy. It’s nostalgic like a vintage embroidered design saying, “bless this house,” or “home sweet home” or “As for me and my house….” These pieces are titled but also a blank slate, ready for you to add your own story of what home is.

Each of my woven artworks is one of a kind, I can’t make the same thing twice!

Pieces are signed and dated on the backside of the paper mounting.
